Monday, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm, Propel will play host to Seattle's first Hydrogen vehicle show at their flagship station on Westlake.

Talk to industry experts and see cutting edge designs from Volkswagen, BMW, KIA, GM, Honda, Hyundai, Toyota, Daimler-Chrysler, and Nissan.

Propel's fueling platform delivers second-generation fuels including biodiesel from waste stream feedstocks like recycled fats and oils, and locally grown, marginal land crops like camelina. Our fueling platform has the forward-flexibility to accommodate advanced fuels such as bio-methane, hydrogen and electric charging as the vehicles gain momentum in the marketplace. The hydrogen fuel cell vehicles on display have the potential to provide the range, efficiency and performance consumers expect with zero tailpipe emissions.

I wonder if neighbor-to-be Tesla will make an appearance...

Propel Biofuels, who opened their flagship station right here in South Lake Union last June, has decided to uproot its headquarters in Seattle in favor of Sacramento.

In addition to moving headquarters, Propel is planning a significant network of hundreds of stations across the state of California to be deployed in the next five years. These stations will feature Hydrogen and Electric Chargers on top of the existing E85 Flex Fuel and Biodiesel products.

The rationale for the move had to do a lot with new laws, regulations and programs introduced by Governor Schwarzenegger and the state legislature geared toward supporting the viability of alternative fuels.

Hear that Governor Gregoire and Washington legislators? That's the sound of green jobs whooshing out of our state.
