As promised, Portage Bay Cafe has opened its second location in the Westlake/Terry building. We didn't get a chance to try it out this weekend, but its supposed to be a carbon copy of the exquisite original—minus the hour-long waits. Looking from the outside in, the new restaurant looks very spacious with good design, but I didn't see any crew boats hanging from the ceiling.
Has anyone tried it out yet?

Where to for breakfast?
From the opposite side of the pond comes another option for breakfast—Portage Bay Cafe. The organic caterer and restaurateur is opening another location next month in South Lake Union, on the first floor of Vulcan's Westlake/Terry building, the P-I reports. It's a good move for Portage Bay as they had outgrown their existing space, and great news to any SLU residents that enjoy an exceptional breakfast. They will keep the menu and the limited hours (7:30-3:00pm M-F, 8:00-3:00pm Sat & Sun) the same as the original. Might I suggest the pancakes with the breakfast bar, yum.
