A man was shot early this morning near where the Taylor 28 Apartments are being built. Fortunately the injuries were non life-threatening so we can make light of the situation (see image), but it was pretty darn close (see grazed ear).

On 03/7/09 at 1220 a.m., SPD officers working off duty at a local business near Taylor Ave N and Thomas Street heard several shots fired north of their location. They immediately advised dispatch of the situation. As officers were responding, a shooting victim ran to the off duty officers and advised that he had been shot. Officers noticed that his right ear had been grazed and he had also been shot in the buttocks. The victim informed the officers that he did not know the shooter and could only describe him as a male wearing dark clothing.
