Fairview 400 Block Open House this Thursday!
For the past few weeks the new sidewalk on the north side of Harrison between Boren and Terry has been half open. Now they've delivered the trees! As you can see it's not quite done, but these Yellowwoods (
cladrastis lutea
, according to the tags) will be a nice addition. I'm also happy that it's now possible to walk to, for example, Inner Chapters (did you know they have grilled paninis?) or City Hardware (did you know they sell some bike gear?) on an actual sidewalk. Republican St is still blocked during construction, though, and I took a quick glance at Mercer: It's still a mess.
