Virginia Court still unoccupied

As covered here before, Cornish College of the Arts wants to acquire Virgnia Court to incorporate into its campus, but the deal has become complicated with legal issues. Unfortunately, nearly 6 months after this was initially reported in the Puget Sound Business Journal, the issue remains unresolved.

The property lies on Virginia St, which is one of the routes between Cascade and downtown. As last reported, the property owners had gone into bankruptcy, so nobody is currently maintaining the now unoccupied apartment building. The property currently has scaffolding over the sidewalk along Virginia St. and Terry Ave., and has attracted graffiti, trash, and loiterers.

As the legal issues drag on, this eyesore impacts the quality of the neighborhood. While graffiti has been sprayed over, perhaps by the city or by the owners, the scaffolding may provide the cover and sign of unoccupancy that invites more. Do any readers know what we can do to keep this property clean and to explore the possibility of removing the scaffolding?
