Answer the call!
We are in need of 10 volunteers each week at The Cascade Farmers Market through September 24th. There are three different volunteer posts: Load In, Load Out and Guest/Information Booth.
Load-In (1-5pm); Four Volunteers Weekly
Load-in volunteers will be located at one end of Pontius to assist with the street closure and to direct vendors to their farming slot. They will also welcome guests as they enter and let them know we are looking forward to seeing them again the following week as they exit. Load-in volunteers will potentially keep a head count of market guests and/or hand out vendor produce lists.
Load-Out (5-8pm); Four Volunteers Weekly
Load-out volunteers will be located at one end of Pontius to assist with the street closure and to direct vendors on exiting procedures at the end of the market. They will also welcome guests during market hours and let them know we are looking forward to seeing them again the following week as they exit. Load-out volunteers will potentially keep a head count of market guests and/or hand out vendor produce lists.
Guest/Information Booth (3-5 and 5-7, or 3-7); Two Volunteers Weekly
Guest/Information Booth volunteers will be available to provide guests with general market information, such as produce location, ATM location, parking, etc. They will also sign in/out the weekly volunteers and sign up anyone interested in volunteering. Info booth volunteers will look for guests who made Pike Place Market purchases and offer them a free reusable shopping bag. Like the other volunteers, they will welcome guests and let them know we are looking forward to seeing them again the following week.
