This Thursday, our friends at Cortiva Institute are bringing together two things that were meant for each other – baked goods and back massages – as a fundraiser for Leukemia.
Beginning at 10:00 am there will be baked goods for sale inside the lobby of the very austere looking building at the corner of Pontius and Republican. Later on, during farmer's market hours (3:00 to 7:00 pm), chair massages will be provided by students and faculty for a $10 suggested donation. What better way to end your day than snack on some cherries from the market while getting the kinks worked out?
100% of the proceeds are going to the Valerie Fund, a nonprofit organization that supports health care centers that treat children with cancer and blood disorders.
