Cascade People's Center is hosting a Community Resource Fair on Tuesday July 7 from 12:00 - 3:00pm. The event is free and bus tickets are available to participants who need assistance with transportation.
Outreach staff from across a broad spectrum of resources will be on hand, including:
- Division of Child Support
- FareStart Employment & Training program
- Sheba Institute health insurance information & advocacy
- PeoplePoint: Bridge to Benefits (they do a little bit of everything and are awesome)
- Within Reach/Parent Help 123 (Basic Food & other assistance)
- Aloha Inn
- Immanuel Community Service (food bank, hygiene program, community lunch)
Cascade People's Center, located at 309 Pontius Ave. N., is a nonprofit community and family center empowering people to grow strong, sustainable families and communities. CPC offers resource referral, free internet access, and a safe, comfortable environment to enjoy the community. Food Not Bombs uses CPC grounds as a staging area for their Sunday food distribution--something many of local residents enjoy. CPC also serves as a meeting space for a variety of community groups, including Home Alive, Seattle Free School, and many others.
