Calling all food lovers to Cascade People's Center!

In honor of the launch of the Cascade Farmer's Market, the Cascade People's Center will be hosting a Pechu Kucha Night this Wednesday. What's a Pikachu—I mean a Pechu Kucha Night?

Each presenter is allowed 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds each - giving 6 minutes 40 seconds of fame before the next presenter is up. This keeps presentations concise, the interest level up, and gives more people the chance to show.

This Pechu Kucha Night will feature presentations about food and the food chain. Among the speakers are City Councilmember Richard Conlin and representatives from Pike Place Market and Seattle Tilth. As an extra bonus, Skillet will keep the Airstream parked at CPC all night!  Bacon jam for dinner, anyone? Doors open at 6:30 pm, presentations begin at 7:00 pm.  This event is free and open to the public.

Cascade People's Center will also be open during the Farmer's Market.  They're hosting FREE kid's activities and offering a safe, comfortable place to wash sticky hands, change a diaper, or get out of the elements.  Don't miss the launch of the Cascade Farmer's Market this Thursday 6/25 from 3-7 pm!!!

Visit Cascade People's Center in person at 309 Pontius Ave. N, online at www.cascadepeoplescenter.org, or follow the CPC on Twitter @cpc_seattle.
