Beba-n-Cinnamons World Cafe closes

Bebas-n-Cinnamons World Cafe at 428 Westlake Ave N has closed "due to the economy," according to a note on the window. My personal guess is they've had a drop in business due to the 300 Rosetta layoffs around the corner.

The good news? If you really liked the food you can still get it relatively nearby at Bebas Deli at 5th and Bell.

Editor: Bebas Deli and Dos Amigos (both are housed in same space) is also replacing Cajetan Deli at Alley 24, opening any day now. I'm not sure at this point whether all these "Bebas" are under the same ownership.

Really weird that they wouldn't mention the Alley24 location on the window.

RE:
That makes me think they weren't under the same ownership...there's an ever so slight difference in name.

RE: why they left
Very sad. My personal guess is they left since Qdoba opened 1 door down from them and competes with their sandwich business. I really liked their Indian food (same owners as Chutneys) though, it was the best in SLU. :(
