The Giving Tree is Closing

The Giving Tree Workshop, where volunteers found meaningful work and connection to the community through the manufacture of handmade wooden toys from reclaimed wood, is closing :(

They're inviting the community to come shop their final sale this Saturday from 9:00am - 3:00pm to take home a piece of Seattle history and say goodbye.

In addition to handmade toys, a treasure trove of craft odds and ends (wheels, wood beads, spools and pegs) and fixtures will also be on sale.

All proceeds to benefit the Archdiocesan Housing Authority and Catholic Community Services.

That's too bad! I hope all the artists who worked there will continue make things creatively.

Well, it's not all bad. I don't think that the Giving Tree artists can stop making things creatively.
To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose.
