Tesla Showroom Coming to South Lake Union

Anyone have a spare $100,000?  If you did, you could visit the new Tesla showroom coming to SLU and drive home in a completely electric car.  The new showroom will be on 425 Westlake Ave. (map), just a few blocks away from the Amazon.com campus in contruction, and is expected to open this Fall.  Seattle will have of the first Tesla showrooms outside of California.

Tesla Motors currently produces two models.  The first is the hip convertible Roadstar starting at $101,500 that goes 0-60 in 3.9 seconds and lasts 244 miles on a single charge. The other is the sedan Model S, starting at $49,900 that goes 0-60 in 5.6 seconds and lasts 300 miles on a single charge.

These vehicles are the ultimate in sustainable luxury automobiles.  Every detail in the engineering and design was given great attention, so much so that company almost went bankrupt before they even produced or sold their first car.  Tesla was started by Elon Musk, who made millions when he sold PayPal to eBay.com.
