Enso Park taking shape

I was expecting generic park benches and planters, but you have to give Vulcan – and whoever the landscape architect is – props for thinking outside the box.

Three mock ships are now pointing their bows toward Lake Union in a nod to the area's maritime heritage.

I'm looking forward to the mini-park's completion.

Its been fun watching the progress
I've been watching this progress and I agree it is exciting that they aren't just doing a simple park. I remember seeing them dig holes and pour concrete for the foundations for those boats and I had no idea what it was for until one day these metal boats showed up. They're still working on laying some concrete so I'm hoping they have a few more tricks up their sleeves. I'm glad they laid some bark and planted trees in the triangle by the outdoor basketball court on Denny and Bell but feel like that space could use a bench or something.

Close to Speedway Denny
I like that they're incorporating unusual forms in the park. I'm interested in the usage they expect for the park. I keep thinking of the all-brick island closer to Westlake Center with the transients hanging around. Will people actually use a mini-park next to Speedway Denny?
