See a movie, and plant a tree

This week, Walt Disney Pictures releases Disney's "Earth." If you've seen the Discovery Channel's "Planet Earth" series, then you'll find some similarities between that series and Disney's new movie. The director for the movie is the same. It's a fantastic view of the diversity of Earth, but more importantly it showcases just how fragile our environment is. But watching the movie doesn't mean that you will be passively learning about the environment. In support of Earth Day, Disney & Fandango are going to plant one tree in the Amazon rainforest for every ticket sold this week to go see the movie.

Of course it has a hint of marketing gimmick to it, but come on - a tree is a tree. Tell your friends. Maybe we can get them to plant an entire forest. ;)

So, who's coming with me?

P.S. Rick - sorry for the blatant advertisement on your site, but I think the tree planting thing is just a cool idea.

Note from the Editor: In honor of Earth Day, I'll let this one slide :)
