Hutch lays off 83

The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center said it will lay off 83 employees today citing a drop in investment income and philanthropic donations, the latter of which is down 50% this year. Luckily the funding Hutch relies on most, federal research grants and contracts, has held steady.
