Local autism clinic ASTAR acquired by Seattle Children's

ASTAR HQ - The Whale Building

ASTAR, a local autism clinic operating out of what has to be the most adorable building in all of South Lake Union, the squat "Whale Building", has been acquired by Seattle Children's due to a lack of funding.

It's a good story—usually not the case when you hear the words acquired and/or lack of funding. The 14-person clinic will be absorbed into a Sandpoint facility and will become a part of a comprehensive autism program Children's is launching as early as this summer.

Seattle P-I has the story.
