This week on ABC’s The Bachelor, Jason Mesnick took the remaining five ladies back to Seattle for a hometown visit. I feel the need to document this exciting moment in history for three reasons:
- I am a closet Bachelor freak
- I am resident of kick-ass Seattle
- I love picking apart how TV portrays Seattle life

So, while watching tonight’s episode of The Bachelor I felt like the show is turning into a huge ad for SLU and Lake Union. I’ve taken the liberty in illustrating the locations via Google Maps for your enjoyment. :)
Point of Interest A: Kirkland resident Jason entertains Melissa at ‘his’ houseboat on Lake Union—lucky dog got the chance to stay in some of Seattle’s prime real estate.
Point of Interest B: On the triple date, Jason takes the girls on an Argosy cruise around Lake Union and drives past the Sleepless in Seattle houseboat.
Point of Interest C: Jason greets Naomi at the new-and-improved Lake Union park (they didn’t film the 2/3rds of the park that’s torn up and littered with debris).
Point of Interest D: They take off on a Kenmore Air seaplane and cruise around Lake Union.
Point of Interest E: Following the plane ride Jason and Naomi get a private climb up the rock at REI—how sweet is that?!
