The Mercer Poll Results Are In

Drumroll please...below are the vote totals from Monday's forum on Mercer Street. Out of 179 ballots distributed (ballot used a select-all-that-apply format):

1. I support allocating $43 million to citywide sidewalk, pedestrian and bicycle safety improvements, and freight mobility
   Votes: 60
2. I do not support allocating $43 million to citywide sidewalks, pedestrian and bicycle safety improvements, and freight mobility
   Votes: 53
3. I support the proposed Two-Way Mercer/Narrowed Valley Project
   Votes: 123
4. I do not support the proposed Two-Way Mercer/Narrowed Valley Project
   Votes: 48
5. I support the Fairview/Valley option for the Mercer Corridor
   Votes: 26
6. I do not support the Fairview/Valley option for the Mercer Corridor
   Votes: 65

A resounding 2-to-1 YES to Two-Way Mercer, despite Councilmember Licata's efforts to use the forum as a way to turn sentiments against the project.

Keep your fingers crossed, we just might see an end to the Mercer Mess within our lifetimes.
