The S.L.U.T has struck again!

The local news stations and papers may have to start dedicating a full-time team to cover all of these S.L.U.T.-astrosphes.

This time, a car ran a stop sign striking the red trolley traveling west on Valley St. at approximately 2:15pm yesterday—no doubt adding more fuel to this fire at the Seattle Transit Blog.

True enough. The drivers are certainly at fault in the 4 incidents to date--after all, how can a trolley that follows a fixed track, rings its bell incessantly, and actually stops at stop lights/signs cause an accident?

It will just take some getting used to, but I'm sure the city didn't forecast this many incidents when they were running the numbers on the project.

Perhaps...

But, as I've been reading comments in the PI about the latest incident and laughing through all the SLUT-hater comments, I've noticed citations that other cities have experienced these same problems (Portland's streetcar, SF, and other cities). So, like you said, hopefully drivers will get used to it and drastic measures, like curtailing parking along the line, will not have to be taken.

Wrong aim with the headline! Bad drivers have struck again.
